Welcome

The European Alzheimer Academy Workshop covers in 4 days the most current and intriguing topics in the field of Alzheimer & related dementia research. It is especially targeted at young ambitious scientists beginning their careers in the field. It offers the possibility to discuss the status of the field, most recent advances and the prospects. Key opinion leaders will present different topics and will allow the students to critically evaluate available data and interpretations.

An important and innovative hallmark of the workshop is that the students will in addition be trained on how to write a good and successful research grant application.

The European Alzheimer Academy Workshop is organized by Alzheimer Forschung Initiative e.V., Fondation Vaincre Alzheimer and Alzheimer Nederland, which are non-profit organizations from Germany, France and the Netherlands, respectively. These organizations collaborate in a unique network to fund scientific and medical research on Alzheimer and related dementias.

Since 1994 the network has supported Alzheimer/dementia research with more than 32 million Euros, thanks to their many generous donors. Faith in research of excellence, promotion of dedicated research grants among young researchers, international cooperation through European cross-border grants are also the specificities of our network.
